Our MCR Pathways coordinator is Aimie Bowman.

Aimie oversees the many aspects of our MCR Pathways provision in Shawlands Academy. These include our mentoring service (for S3 – S6 pupils), Talent Taster experiences (S3 – S6), S1/S2 groupwork and our MCR Duke of Edinburgh award programme.

Our pupils spend one hour each week in school with their MCR Pathways mentor. The only qualification our mentors have is a desire to help young people. Our young people are matched with their mentor based on their personalities, interests and career aspirations. All of our young people are different and have different needs, so it’s important that our mentors come from all walks of life.
