Our Senior Leadership Team

MS k aNDERSON
HEAD TEACHER

As Head Teacher, I’m proud to lead such a caring and ambitious school community. I work closely with pupils, staff, and families to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where every young person feels valued and encouraged to achieve their best. At Lochend, our shared focus on wellbeing, learning, and achievement helps make our school a place where everyone can Learn, Grow and Achieve.

I have been Head Teacher at Lochend since August 2024 and I am delighted to be here and I am so proud of our school community.

Did you know? I once went for an interview to be a children’s TV presenter. (It was a long time ago!)

Outside of school, I enjoy doing anything active – tennis, skiing, walking my dog. I love spending time with my friends and family.

Lochend is such a special place to work because of all our amazing young people, our school community and the ways in which people work together to ensure the best possible outcomes for all.

Did you know? I really hate cheese! I do love a cheeseless pizza and I promise a pizza tastes way better without cheese. One thing I do love about cheese, is a cheese joke, my favourite? What did the cheese say when it looked in the mirror? Halloumi!

Outside of school, I love spending time with my family and friends, going shopping, watching TV, and enjoying fun weekends away with friends.

Lochend is such a special and rewarding place to work. This is because of the young people, their families, and all our staff. Everyone genuinely wants the best for every young person and works hard every day to make that happen.
