PARENTS / CARERS
Parents and Carers have a legal responsibility to ensure that a child attends school and that the school is notified immediately of any absence.
- Parents and Carers should contact the Pupil Absence Reporting Line on 0141 287 0039, as early as possible on morning of pupils’ absence.
- Alternatively, Parents / Carers can use these additional communication methods:
- MYGOVSCOT portal to access their ‘myaccount’ and complete the online form to alert us of their child’s absence.
- Email – Parents / Carers can email the pupils identified PTPC to alert them about absences.
- If the absence relates to reasons of personal or sensitive nature, serious illness or contagious diseases which will last more than a week, injuries e.g. broken limbs, then these cases should be reported directly to the school on 0141 582 0170.
- Parents and Carers should keep the school up to date with changes to their personal mobile phone.
Attendance Rewards
At Lochend, we know that being in school every day makes a huge difference — not only in learning, but in building friendships, confidence, and success. To celebrate our pupils’ fantastic efforts, we’ll be giving attendance rewards to recognise those who show great commitment to coming to school regularly.
These days will be filled with fun activities and special treats to say a big thank you to everyone who’s made the effort to attend consistently.
Please make yourself aware of our Attendance policy here. (coming soon)
See attached information about the rewards taking place in our Autumn term for great attendance.
