The Moonbeams class have participated in a Steven Brown competition where we created a new McCoo character. The character had to be someone that enjoyed sports. We called our character Messy McCoo and thought he would be good at football.

Last week of term before our Spring holiday

The Sunflower boys are very tired this week. We went to Burger King on Monday and had our snack and enjoyed playing in the soft play. On Wednesday we had our Easter service assembly. We sang our two Easter songs we had been learning in class, and one of the boys was an egg at the front for “Spring Chicken”.

On Thursday for cookery we had sausages and toast and made a chocolate brownie for our afternoon snack. We covered strawberries in white chocolate with orange food colouring to look like carrots.

We also made our special cards and gifts for the special lady in each of our lives. We will be sending them home for Mother’s Day on Sunday.

Hope you all have a super holiday. 🙂

Easter Treat During Cooking

The boys in the Transition class were all Effective Contributors today in the cookery room. They were practising their peeling and chopping skills and ended up making some corned beef hash with the potatoes they peeled. Obviously while the potatoes were cooking the boys got to have a little treat so made their own Easter Baskets using chocolate and shredded wheat. There was even enough spare that all the staff got to enjoy one.

Kitbag!

We had a little bit of fun today in the Transition class but at the same time helped the boys towards their independence. The transition boys played a game of kitbag where they had to be the fastest team to put on a selection of clothes from a kitbag. They were all Responsible Citizens and helped each other out with shirt buttons and shoe laces. Ethan and Oliver were the winners by a fine margin. Well Done boys.
