Willowbank School, KilmarnockThe Transition were Responsible Citizens and the class took part in a few Red Nose Day activities. They were challenged from another class to try and get a biscuit from their forehead to their mouth without using their hands. A lot of chocolate got on faces! We also did some painting with a hammer! We designed a face to add a red nose to. Lots of red paint was put in the nose area which was covered before being splatted with a hammer! Just as well we had our protective suits on!
we celebrated Red Nose Day last week in style by having a day of laughter and fun. Â we spent the morning completing team building challenges set by the other secondary classes and them joined up with the others virtually in the afternoon. Â It was a lot of fun, our favourite challenge was the biscuit eating challenge! Â We were very effective contributors as we took turns and worked well together.

On Friday we had lots of Red Nose Day fun. We were confident individuals and tolerated trying the red nose on our own nose.
We decorated cakes to make them look like faces by adding edible eyes, mouth, ears and a big red nose in the centre. We also decorated a nose with red collage materials to show at our virtual corridor meeting in the afternoon.

In the afternoon we went on a red nose hunt in the garden trying to find all the different noses and mark them off on our sheet. We also joined a TEAMS meeting with the other classes to share our Red Nose Day. We enjoyed seeing our peers on the screen and interacting with them.
We also did a red food tasting session trying lots of different red foods and we circled the faces to show wether we liked or disliked each different item.
We have been confident individuals today, participating in lots of Red Nose Day themed activities.
We have tasted different red foods, created our own superhero masks, counted & coloured red noses, and coloured some funny pictures:

The Daisies class have enjoyed today’s Red Nose Day fun activities. We made funny face biscuits with red smartie noses, strawberry lace hair and edible eyes.
We enjoyed making red nose themed masks to show at our virtual disco. We made a mix of monster, dinosaur and animal masks.
Finally, we went on a red nose hunt around the sensory garden and found the 8 hidden red noses.
We celebrated Red Nose Day by taking on some physical challenges we were confident individuals and effective contributors when completing team challenges.
It certainly was a fun Friday in the Oak class.

The Moonbeams have had a very successful and fun day raising awareness for Comic Relief. The children listened to a story about how the Charity helps a boy their age. They then made had some red jelly and dug for red noses in it and drew pictures of themselves with red noses on their faces. Take a look at our fun filled day!
This week in the Oak class we welcomed back some more pupils to our blended model. We are counting down the days until we are all back together as a whole class.
This week we celebrated St Patrick’s Day and Red Nose Day.
Everyone was also successful learners during our literacy tasks.
Our Theme for Red Nose Day was using laughter as means to help us all through difficult times. Lockdown has been hard for everyone, and we need to think about what we enjoy doing and what makes us happy. We were effective contributors and shared with our friends the activities that make us laugh.
Some of the answers were hearing other people laughing and the others were listening to our favourite stories being read in an animated way.

The Planets class enjoyed creating some superhero masks to celebrate Red Nose Day.

The Planets class enjoyed a Red Nose Day themed food tasting session. We made strawberry angel delight with real strawberries on top. We also tasted red apples, cherry tomatoes, red jelly, strawberry lace sweeties and red kola.
