FAOL Science: Forces/ Balloon Cars

We have been successful learners today and explored forces using push toys and balloons. We observed how the different toys didn’t move unless a force was applied to them, then created our own moving cars using Mobilo. We added balloons to see if they would move using the force of air.

50 Things Outdoors

We have been working hard on our 50 Things activities throughout the year.

 

We have been playing in a mud kitchen, enjoyed parachute games, had fun in the snow, created our own kites, explored a big tree, and played with bubbles.

IDL Evidence: Fossil Making

We enjoyed learning all about dinosaurs and their fossils during our theme work.

We were responsible citizens and took turns with peers to create our own dinosaur fossils using salt dough.

FAOL ECO/ Sustainable Development

We have been successful learners this term working towards global goals 2 and 3: Zero Hunger and Good Health and Wellbeing.

 

We have been learning which foods are healthy and can be eaten often, and which should be eaten as a treat. We were confident individuals and created our own packed lunch boxes showing a balanced meal.

 

We have also explored different ways to keep our bodies healthy and confidently matched the products and items needed to keep different body parts clean.

Move day

The Planets had a super busy day with all the move activities!
The class was full of confident individuals who took part in lots of different activities both indoors and outdoors.

 

We took part in ribbon dancing, playing ‘keeping uppie’ with balloons, following the actions to dances and movement challenges.

 

Outdoors we participated in space activities such as reaching for the stars, launching rockets and making fruity rockets.

FAOL Whole School/ Citizenship: Sports Day

We were confident individuals of Tuesday and participated in Sport’s Day. We have been practising our races and enjoyed performing in front of our peers.

 

We were responsible citizens and enjoyed cheering and clapping when watching the other classes take part in their races!

Fun at the Park

We were confident individuals this week on our local outing to the park.

We practised our road safety skills and had sensible walking then were responsible citizens, sharing park equipment with our peers.

Digital Learning Week 2022

We have been busy taking part in lots of digital learning activities for digital learning week!

 

We were confident individuals and explored coding games on the interactive board.

 

We were successful learners and applied our coding skills to programme a sequence into the Bee Bots.

 

We were responsible citizens taking turns with peers when using the interactive board and iPads during numeracy work.

IDL Evidence: Fossil Finding

This week we have been enjoying learning all about fossils and the job of palaentologists.

We were successful learners and went digging for bones in sand, then confidently used the bones we found to build up a dinosaur skeleton.

We also had fun making our own fossils out of salt dough by making our platic dinosaurs stop in it.
