FAOL Enterprise – Christmas Baubles

We had a lovely festive time making Christmas baubles for our family members.
We followed spoken/signed or written instructions and filled one of our baubles with chocolates and one with a photo of each of us wearing a Santa hat.

We also discussed who we might give our fabulous Christmas gifts to.

We were very proud of the lovely gifts we made! I hope our families like them!

FAOL – Enterprise

The Bluebells were confident individuals and made sweet chocolate snowman to give home as a gift for Christmas. All pupils placed a glove on the wrapped bar of chocolate as the hat for the snowman. Most pupils can wrapped the chocolate in white paper to make it look like a snowman and some pupils were able draw or stick on eyes, carrot nose and mouth.

FAOL – Enterprise – Christmas Snowman Display

*Confident Individuals     *Effective Contributors

We chose a snowman design then drew round our hands to make felt handprints. We cut out and glittered snowflakes, used paper doilies and cotton wool pads to form the body and used pipe cleaners for the nose and hat. We made a colourful pom pom for the hat. Didn’t it turn out well?

FAOL – Christmas Enterprise

The Snowdrops enjoyed creating a ‘Do You Want To Build A Snowman?’ Christmas gift to send home today.

Pupils were able to select marshmallows, tic tacs, matchmaker sticks and chocolate drops to put into the gift bag.  We also were able to count out the correct amounts for each bag and develop our fine motor skills in the process too.

We all had great fun making these gifts and hope our families enjoy receiving them too.

Effective Contributors – Whole School Snowman Project

The Transition class were Effective Contributors when they helped prepare the judging for next week’s Snowman competition. Excellent numeracy skills were on show when they read Mr Nicoll’s plan and matched each snowman with it’s correct number. Thanks for your help everyone!

Effective Contributors – Christmas Tree Decoration

Following on from our numeracy lesson the Transition class used their baubles to decorate the tree. There were all Effective Contributors and started with the most common bauble (Gold) and worked their way down to the least common (odd shades of purple). Excellent work everyone, the tree looks lovely!

St Andrew’s Day

*Confident Individuals*  *Effective Contributors* *Successful Learners*

The Snowdrops have enjoyed learning about the story of St Andrew and creating lots of lovely Scottish crafts.  We made Scottish flags by tearing, scrunching and sticking white and blue tissue paper onto our templates.

We also had great fun dipping toy cars into different coloured paints and rolling them in different directions to create our own tartan pictures!

Effective Contributors – Christmas Displays

It’s that time of the year again! The Transition class were Effective Contributors working on our class display and our snowman head. We made eight little snowmen, selecting different eye shapes, wooly hats, nose and mouth shapes. Everyone focused well and made excellent choices.
