We made reindeer family stone frames for a gift to take home and surprise our families.  Confident individuals all round when making these frames.  Everyone had a strong opinion about the stones they wanted used for their family, who they wanted in their family frame and even the position / order of their stone family.

We completed a jigsaw map of Scotland for our IDL topic.  We identified all the cities within Scotland and highlighted the city we are learning about, which is Edinburgh.

Confident individuals all around, we listened to the city name and found the correct written word.  They had to look at the big map on the smartboard and find the same location on their map once they completed the jigsaw.

Directional Awareness

We used active learning in numeracy today to bring direction to life. We had fun moving the cars and the adults in the directions that were called out and shown on the cards.

We were successful learners when given gestural prompts for the given direction.

We chose a partner to play a game with, we were confident individuals when choosing a partner, choosing a game and we played the games with minimal adult support.
