French Toast c’est magnifique!

The Transition boys cooked up a storm again this Thursday. They were all Successful Learners when they remembered the steps to create the perfect sharing meal. The table was set correctly, tea was made in the pot and a variety of different styles of French toast was created.  Knife and fork skills were thoroughly tested until we were full! A great social sharing time.

What did Mrs Claus say when she looked at the clouds?

Looks like rain dear (reindeer!) haha!……….Anyway… Santa was very kind and found some spare time when he could lend us his Reindeer for an afternoon. The Transition boys were Confident Individuals getting up close to pat and feed them. They even got to sit in the sleigh! Lucky boys!

St Andrew’s Sensory Assembly

On Wednesday morning the Transition boys took part in a Sensory St. Andrew’s Assembly. They were all Responsible Citizens as they took part in a variety of activities including, hand painting thistles, identifying the famous Scot and modelling a thistle. I think we all agree that our favourite station was tasting Scottish food. I’d share some photographs of that but the food disappeared in the blink of an eye!

Reindeer Visit

We had a surprise visit from some reindeer in school this week. The Snowdrops were all confident individuals approaching the reindeer very quietly and slowly.  The reindeers were actually bigger than the Snowdrop pupils and we heard them make unusual noises!

JMA – Building Bug Boxes

Some of the John Muir pupils visited Dean Park where the rangers helped them to create bug boxes. The boys enjoyed using the drill and the hammer! Once constructed, the bug boxes were filled with a range of natural materials sourced from the woodland floor.

Excellent work from these confident individuals and effective contributors.

Snowdrops out and about

The Snowdrops were all confident individuals on recent social outings to our local community.  Everyone enjoyed a visit to the café in Morrison’s supermarket, where we made personal choices of snack and drink, sat with our friends at the table and then played together in the play area.  There was lots to explore in the play area.  We also did some shopping the class and the Snowdrops were very successful learners using the self scanning check-out, great work!
