Welcome Back!

It was lovely to welcome our children back to school today for the first day of the summer term.  Our children were full of stories about their busy holidays and they enjoyed sharing these with us.

Our staff have also been very busy over the holidays……….

Congratulations to Mrs Hamilton (formerly Miss Caldow) who was married during the first week of the holidays.

Congratulations to Mr Hay and his wife, Ashley, who welcomed their new baby son last week.  Nathyn Hay was born on 11/4/22.  He is absolutely adorable and we can’t wait to meet him.

And finally, congratulations to Miss McConnell who got engaged to her partner, Frank, during their trip to New York!

An Easter Message

As we start our Easter holiday, please enjoy this special message from our school chaplain, Rev. McNaughtan.

The Big Walk and Wheel

Thank you to everyone who walked or wheeled to school.  Our current position is 132nd out of 666 with 75.58% of our school taking part.    The final position will be announced on Tuesday.

Well done.

Show Racism the Red Card

Last month we launched a creative competition for P4-7 for Show Racism the Red Card and encouraged classes to be as creative as they could in coming up with ideas to get across this important message. We have been so impressed with the response and several entries have been submitted today from children in the school to the national competition. These entries include art, music and dance. Some of those entries are posted below.

We also ran this as a  competition within the school with fun football coaching to be provided by the Kris Doolan Football Academy as the prize. Today we can announce the runner-up and winner of our school competition.

The runner up is Miss Caldow’s P4C entry. What a fantastic poster of positivity!!

Now for the overall winner of the school competition. It is…………………..         P5B – Mr. Hay’s class!!!                                   Congratulations, this class has won the football training prize which will be arranged for after the Easter holidays.
