Happy Retirement Mrs Barrowman!

Today we said a fond farewell to Mrs Barrowman after more than 20 years cooking for us at Gargieston.  We were disappointed that we couldn’t mark her retirement with a whole school celebration in the hall but the children made her some lovely cards and pictures which she loved.

ECC Rhyme of the fortnight

We will be learning The Grand old Duke of York for our rhyme of the fortnight over the next 2 weeks in the ECC. Please practice this at home and encourage children to learn the Makaton signs to go along with the rhyme. We would love to see videos on the children’s individual blogs of them reciting this rhyme.

ECC snack week beginning 9th Nov

ECC new displays

The ECC children have created a variety of lovely firework images this week

ECC First camp fire

The boys and girls in TRIO 1 in the afternoon thoroughly enjoyed a camp fire out in our garden today. We had marshmallows and hot chocolate for our snack 🙂

The ECC boys and girls had a fabulous time at our Halloween party on Friday 🙂

CHRISTMAS FUNDRAISER – OUTSTANDING PAYMENTS

Could we please remind you that payments should be  made via PayPal (Gargieston@yandex.com).

Please also make sure that you select “Friends and Family” and not “Goods and Services”.  Thank you.

Home Learning During Self-Isolation

Please click on the tab above – ‘Home Learning during Self-Isolation’- to find a selection of suggested learning activities for your child to access at home should they need to self-isolate or stay at home due to being unwell. If your child is too unwell to do any work while at home there is no pressure to complete the tasks. These are here to access as you wish. Please adapt and adjust according to your individual child.

Class teachers will also upload weekly homework on their Teams page which children can access from home using their Glow login. You may find it easier to download the Teams app onto a laptop, iPad or smartphone. Class teachers will also be uploading items to your child’s Bug Club account.

We hope that you find this helpful.
