Make It Happen Competition

It’s so lovely to be able to share the great news of our design an app competition winners.😁 As a school we entered into this competition some time ago. Unfortunately events out with our control took place  and we are only now able to present our winners with their certificates and prizes.

Evie Dawson in primary 2C was the overall winner and received a Kindle Fire and books. Dex Robinson in primary 5A and Honey Robinson in primary 3C were joint runners up and received an Echo Dot and books. A massive well done to them and everyone that entered the competition!🏅👏👏

💻Evie designed an app called Kid Angel. This has been created as a web app due to these unfortunate times. You can access it here to download by clicking on this link:

Dex and Honey Robinson designed a Homework Diary app. This has also been created as a web app too, which you can access here to download:

ECC – A huge thank you

The ECC would like to say a huge thank you to the Cobbleshop and Blackwood Plant hire for donating us some wonderful resource to develop our outdoor learning in the ECC. You will see in the photo’s above we have filed our dinosaur small world role play with bark for the children to investigate. We have created song stones to enhance nursery rhymes outdoors, we have created a stage for the children to carry out drama experiences in our courtyard using pallets and astro grass, we have a variety of large stones for the children to build with and transport around the garden, We have a large tyre filled with bark for children to dig and investigate, we have extended our mud kitchen area using pallets which the children will absolutely love as this is one of their favourite outdoor activities and we have created an obstacle course using a variety of different sized tyres to develop the children’s co-ordination and balance. We are so grateful to both of these businesses for their very generous donations. Thank you very much from everyone at Gargieston ECC.

Thank you to our red House Vice Captain Ella for creating this reminder for parents about the important steps to follow to help keep everyone safe at Gargieston PS & ECC
