Fundraising for Ayrshire Hospice
Very well done to Georgia Hammond, P3B and her sister Zoe, P5B who got their Brownie charity badge. They both sold a lot of their old toys (with their grans’s help) over the few months leading up to Christmas. Their cousin also donated 2 toys to be sold. In total they raised £500 for the Ayrshire Hospice. Here is a photo of them both getting their Brownie badge and a photo of Georgia with the certificate the hospice sent them for their efforts. This is a super achievement and a huge amount of money raised for a very worthwhile charity. Well done, Georgia and Zoe. We are very proud of you both!!
Virtual Music Sessions
The parent council have asked us to let everyone know about this event.
CLICK HERE TO GO STRAIGHT TO OUR WEBSITE Ahead of our public annoucement on Monday, we wanted you all to be the first to know that our Virtual Sessions will return next month with a Short Virtual Sessions: Building Foundations: Exploring the Psychology and Physicality of Playing. Featuring Guest Artists including Sheku Kanneh-Mason, Elena Urioste, Richard O’Neill, Laura van der Heijden, and our Founder and Artistic Director, Nicola Benedetti, we invite you all to join us on this journey of collective development and discovery.
We believe strongly in the addressing of our foundations, within which we advocate for individuality and creativity to be applied. There is no one way to play, one way to make music, one interpretation, or one methodology or pedagogy. We hope these sessions will deepen this dialogue, and we will all learn something from the experience.

Message from The Parent Council
Our NPFS East Ayrshire rep has sent details of how to access some free learning resources for both primary and secondary stages. These resources include recorded lessons, online resources, webinars and links to other appropriate e-learning. This content would be particularly useful to supplement learning whilst needing to isolate.
More info of how to access the resources can be found on the pdf attached.

JRSO Road Safety
JRSO
We believe that road safety is a very important thing in our community. The safety of your child is our number one priority! We have been a bit worried recently about children coming to school when it’s darker. When they wear a dark jacket cars cannot see them and this is very dangerous. Here is a picture which very clearly shows this danger. So we encourage that you give your child a brighter jacket, a torch, a reflector for their bag or jacket. Be Seen, Be Safe!
On Monday we are going to launch a competition where the children will have the chance to design a colourful high vis vest if they wish, the closing date will be Friday 28th January. The winner from each class will win a JRSO goodie bag!
Happy designing!
