This morning we attended a maths roadshow as part of STEM fortnight. There were lots of fantastic interactive challenges. Some of them really made us think and others really challenged our patience and perseverance.

Equity at Gargieston
Following discussions with staff, parents and children we all agreed that we do not wish any child to miss out on an activity or trip because of cost. In the past Gargieston has received anonymous donations to support families who maybe experiencing some difficulties in covering the cost of school trips. If you wish to find out more information please do not hesitate in contacting the school.

Base 1 Trip to The Science Centre
What a good day we all had at the Science Centre. The children all enjoyed exploring and playing with all the activities. The Planetarium proved to be very popular with the children and they listened very well to find out new information about our solar system.
STEM IN P4B
P4B have had great fun during the first week of STEM Fortnight taking part in a maths challenge, carrying out an experiment extracting DNA from strawberries, working in teams to complete a K’nex challenge building a bridge, visiting Ayrshire College to learn about engineering and construction and learning STEM spelling words.
