P6 Visit Robert Burns Birthplace Experience.

On 6th February Primary 6 enjoyed a visit to Robert Burns Birthplace experience. We looked at memorabilia in the museum, stood on Brig o Doon, visited Alloway Kirk and got to dress just like men and women would have back then, while experiencing what life would have been like living in the cottage.  We also enjoyed spending time in the new playpark.

Fun with Fractions P2C

Fractions have been our focus in maths over the past couple of weeks and what a lot of fun the class have had.  Our activities focused on developing an understanding of equal parts, reading, interpreting and writing in 1/2’s and 1/4’s, finding halves of quantities, objects and numbers as well as developing an understanding of the numerator and denominator.  The success the class have had in their learning has been particularly high with further challenge being added to extend understanding that bit more.
