We have purchased this shed with money we got from the ‘Food for Thought’ Grant.
We’re looking for some help!
We are going to be storing gardening tools etc and we’re looking for a parent or family member of our school community to offer their expertise to fit some shelving inside the shed.
If you are available please leave your details below.
On 6th February Primary 6 enjoyed a visit to Robert Burns Birthplace experience. We looked at memorabilia in the museum, stood on Brig o Doon, visited Alloway Kirk and got to dress just like men and women would have back then, while experiencing what life would have been like living in the cottage. We also enjoyed spending time in the new playpark.
This week’s P1-3 Starwriter awards went to Dylan Lawrie, Callie Parker, Cameron Hannon, Alex Thom, Lila Sanders and Jessica Crossan. The P4-7 maths awards went to Kallum Tang, Tristian Matheson, Freddy Cogswell, Ross Mitchell, Joe Dow and Aimee Dorrans. Well done to all !!
Fractions have been our focus in maths over the past couple of weeks and what a lot of fun the class have had. Our activities focused on developing an understanding of equal parts, reading, interpreting and writing in 1/2’s and 1/4’s, finding halves of quantities, objects and numbers as well as developing an understanding of the numerator and denominator. The success the class have had in their learning has been particularly high with further challenge being added to extend understanding that bit more.
