Loose parts

The pupil council have been looking at our playground. They would like more things to do at break and lunch so have decided to add some loose parts to our playground. This will be for primary 1-3 to start with while we build resources. If you have any spare parts at home or have any links with building companies etc. please let me know. Here is a small list of possible things you could donate:

  • Leaves
  • Pine cones
  • Wood (all sizes)
  • Pipes
  • Crates
  • Pegs
  • Shells
  • Stones
  • Tyres

Food bank donations

As part of our Rights Respecting Schools programme in the lead up to Harvest, we are again organising a food collection for the East Ayrshire Foodbank. Next Monday, 8th October, David Skilling from the Foodbank will come along to speak at our assembly and will arrange collection of our donations. We would be extremely grateful to any families who would like to make a donation of an item(s) listed on the poster above to allow us to help others in our local community. Donations can be brought to school up until Monday 8th October.
