£1000 Trim Trail Donation From Keepmoat Homes

A group of children accompanied Mrs McKee, Mrs Work and Mrs Maz to the Keepmoat Homes development to accept a donation of £1000 towards our school Trim Trail.

The school community would like to thank Ramona and the team at Keepmoat Homes for their generous donation.  We have now raised over £11,000 towards our target and are confident we can achieve our total before the end of the year.

Mrs McKee and Mrs Work also met with the architectural team today who will be project managing the installation.  We are on track for installation in April 2019 🙂

Many thanks to our fundraising group, parents and the wider school community for their continued support of this ambitious project.

Road Safety

We would like to remind you that the car park beyond the roundabout is for staff and blue badge holders only.  This area is not a drop off zone for the school or the ECC.

All parents and visitors should use the car park at the main gates.

ECC Staff – Purple Group

As Miss Clark has now moved on to her new post at Riccarton ECC, Mrs Hendrie will take over the purple group in the morning and Miss Muir will lead the group in the afternoons 🙂

Super Stars

Congratulations to our Super Stars – John, Jack, Oliver, Katie, Flo and Beth (and Tom who is not in the photo) who received their certificates at our Harvest assembly on Monday.

Gargie Girls Get Active!

Thank you to the Mums, Grans & staff who joined our children to celebrate Active Girls Day on Friday.  We had a wide range of sports on offer from running and dancing to football and netball.  It was lovely to see so many adults joining in and setting a great example to our girls 🙂

P5 Running Club

Our first running club session last week was a huge success with 15 children and 3 staff members joining me.  What a great way to start the day!

With a weather warning in place for tomorrow, we will move our session indoors with some mobility and circuit training.  We will meet in the parents room at 8.30am.  Parents welcome too 🙂

Book Reading from Grant Koper

Children from our ECC and P1-3 had a visit today from author Grant Koper.  They loved listening to his funny story ‘The Day Granny’s Knickers Blew Away!’

We hope that Grant’s visit has inspired some of our budding young authors.

P1 Super Stars

We had 3 Super Stars from P1 at our assembly today.

Congratulations to Charlie, Abbie and Emma!

Our Eilidh’s are Super Stars!!

Congratulations to Eilidh in P1b and Eilidh in P3b who were awarded their Super Star certificates this week.

Eilidh in P1b had the best day and the worst day last week when she achieved Super Star status before lunch then fell and broke her wrist in the playground!  She was incredibly brave and her broken wrist certainly hasn’t stopped her smiling.

** P1-3 Super Stars**

Congratulations to our P1-3 Super Stars – Isla, Finn and Rachel!
