Running Club

Well done to the children, staff and parents who have supported our running club this year.  Our numbers were slightly lower for our Santa run today but we still managed to give an interesting rendition of Jingle Bells as we ran up Dundonald Road!

Today was the last session of the year.  However, we will return again after the February holiday.  Keep an eye on the blog for further information 🙂

ECC Fit Kids

Our children in the ECC have enjoyed taking part in Fit Kids sessions with Drew Wilson (Ella’s Dad) from Dual Fitness.  The children developed their skills in running, jumping, rolling and balancing and, most importantly, they had great fun being active together 🙂

At Gargieston PS & ECC, we enjoy building links with parents and partners within our local community to provide more interesting and creative learning experiences for our children.

Easyfundraising for Gargieston PS & ECC

As our email inboxes overflow with Black Friday deals and online Christmas shopping begins to take over our lives, it is the perfect opportunity to remind you about Easyfundraising.org.uk.  This is a quick, easy and secure way to raise money for our children through your online purchases at no extra cost to you.

All you need to do is download the app to your phone and register to raise funds for Gargieston PS & ECC.  Then use the app to access your online shopping sites.   Feel free to encourage your family to support us too!

Happy shopping 🙂

Our School Improvement Priorities

Through consultation with our children, we have created a child friendly display of our school improvement priorities for this session.

We look forward to seeing our flowers bloom as we continue to work together to grow our school.

You can find the full version of our school improvement plan 2018-19 and the standards and qualities report for session 2017-18 under ‘information’ – ‘improvement priorities’ on the main blog.

QI Awards 2018

We were delighted that our Intergenerational Project was awarded the most innovative and inspiring project at the Quality Improvement Awards ceremony in Glasgow last night.  Congratulations to Laura Haggerty, the team in our ECC and the team at Springhill Care home who work together on this project.

We are delighted to announce that Miss Gray was successful at interview yesterday and now joins our team within Gargieston ECC on a full permanent basis 🙂
