ECC new playroom layout

We have separated our playroom into two play spaces. This enables us to safely accommodate all of our children indoors if there is extreme weather outdoors. Below are photos for you to see what the playroom looks like and what areas are on offer for your children to explore indoors. Please note that the group trios do not mix at any point throughout the session.

Indoors area 1

Indoors area 2

All children have access to the toilets at any point throughout the session both indoors and outdoors.

ECC daily routine

Below is an example for parents of the daily routine for each trio in our ECC. This may vary slightly due to children voting to have snack or story outdoors on occasions.

Trio 1 = Red, Yellow and Purple group children

Trio 2 = Green, Orange and Blue group children

I hope this offers some reassurance to parents that all children access both indoor and outdoor learning on a daily basis. Please continue to provide children with suitable outdoor clothing on a daily. We have a contingency plan in place for extreme weather conditions, therefore this routine will differ on occasions of extreme weather.

Any concerns please speak to Mrs Hendrie or email on eaheather.hendrie@glow.sch.uk

Thank you

Message from our parent council …..

The next meeting of the Parent Council will be held on Tuesday 15th September @7pm via WebEx.

This meeting will incorporate the AGM of the Parent Council and Gargieston Fundraising Group and will involve appointing new Office Bearers.

This year due to current COVID restrictions, the Gargieston Parent Council & Gargieston Fundraising Group AGM will be a virtual meeting.

We are always keen to welcome new members to join us and now you don’t even have to leave the house!

We have an active parent council and fundraising group, why not join one or both! Whether your child is in the ECC or P7 (or anywhere in between) it is a fantastic way to support the school, work closely with the Management Team, learn more about your child’s education and/or help raise vital funds that benefit the children across the school and ECC.

Anyone interested in attending this meeting can do so by dialling in from your phone, or via video call from a smartphone, tablet or laptop.

For joining details please email the parent council on gargiestonparentcouncil@gmail.com by Monday 14th September 2020 and an invite will be extended to your email address.

If you think you would be interested in any of the Office Bearer positions please email the Parent Council – gargiestonparentcouncil@gmail.com prior to the meeting to note your interest.

All positions are open this year, Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary. Office positions across the GFG will also be appointed.

We look forward to hearing from you and hope you can join our online meeting this year.

Pauline Patton (Gargieston Parent Council Chair)
