JRSO 2020 Announcement

Hello! We are the JRSO P7 girls – our names are Lucy, Isla C, Anna, and Sophie P.  We would like to say a message about parking.

Many parents drop their children off on the roundabout and at the end of the day parents wait on the roundabout to collect their children.  This is an issue because children at the end of the day will be walking home most of the time in groups so this means more than 1 child would be injured if you were to knock them over with your car.   Also another issue is that you are not meant to drop your kids off on the roundabout, you don’t park on roundabouts anywhere else! Don’t do it here.

We have many parking spaces but please do not go into the staff car park because this is for staff only.   We also have a drop off zone; it is located to the right when you come into the school.  Please do not park there because it is not an official parking space so if you are dropping of a child who is unable to walk into the playground themselves, please park in our main parking zone.  The previous JRSO’s have put up cones to stop people from parking in the wrong space and or on the kerb.  So please listen and don’t park on the kerb or on corners or over driveways in the streets around the school.
