Trim Trail Official Opening

What a lovely afternoon we had yesterday at the official opening of our Trim Trail.  The whole school were joined outside by invited guests from East Ayrshire Council and community partners who have supported the project.  The ribbon was cut by Provost Todd, Mrs Work and Mrs Patton and they also unveiled a plaque kindly donated by Mr Wallace at Ayrshire Signs and Graphics.

A group of children demonstrated their skills on the Trim Trail and were followed by Provost Todd who entertained everyone with his attempt to tackle each part of the structure!

Our children are so lucky to have this fabulous play structure in their own playground and we would like to express our thanks once again to the GFG, PTC, the wider parent body and community partners who have turned a dream into reality for our children.

Many thanks also to Mrs Sanders from Love Lila Photography for capturing the joy of this special event for us.

BIKE SHED

We love to see our children arriving to school on their bikes and scooters in this lovely weather. But please encourage them to take care of their bikes, scooters and each other by parking them carefully using the racks provided in the bike shelters.

ECC Homelink – Word Aware

Within the next 2 weeks we will be exploring the concept of the word ‘out’ within the ECC through various activities.

Please can you encourage your child to look out of the window at home as well as when in the car/bus and discuss what they can see. Feel free to use your imagination and use other methods to support your child to understand the concept of out.

Could you please post photos on your child’s personal blog.

P6 WERE DANGER DETECTIVES!!!! JORDAN ARRESTED!!!!!

P6 were at danger detectives today, there were five groups and we got different stations to go to. One of the stations was a fancy bus with a pc, Xbox , and a ps4.

There was another station with a man a bike and a van and the man was knocked off the bike and we had to find clues to what might have happened.

At the start we got a presentation about what to do in a house fire and  why to not be a stalker and look at peoples personal information. We did a demonstration of Justin getting arrested and he was one of our friends!!!

P6/7 Football

Our P6/7 football team continued their winning streak this afternoon beating Auchinleck, St Andrew’s and James Hamilton in their three matches. This leaves them top of their table with only Loanhead left to play next week. Well done to the boys not just on their level of skill but on their sportsmanship too. Thanks also to the Dads for helping get the boys this far.
