The Article from the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) which we are looking at in class and at assemblies between now and the October holiday is Article 16:-
“Every child has the right to privacy. The law should protect the child’s private, family and home life”.

Hello – can you explain how this is taught at school in the context of social media use? We try to cultivate a culture of trust and openness at home around social media use and request access to devices at times to check all seems OK. I can imagine though that children would call out this article (to their own detriment). Just wondered how the school was balancing the need for privacy and openness.
