Hi everyone! Thank you so much for the great questions for my Aquarist friend, Andrew. He was so pleased with them that he filmed a video for us to give us lots of information!
The video is in three parts and can be found at the link below:
Hi, Primary 3! I contacted Andrew, an Aquarist at Deep Sea World, and asked some of your questions about the ocean, sea creatures and how plastics can affect them. He was kind enough to fil…
We can’t believe that we have reached the final week of Primary 3! Miss McGregor, Miss Blyth and Mrs Dunsmore would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all of your hard work and determination this year and we wish you all the best for Primary 4!
Here is the Final Home Learning Grid of P3 linked below along with the resources 🙂
I have organised a virtual trip for everyone in P3. There is a Powerpoint and a matching booklet that you can work through at your leisure. Have fun!! 🙂
P.S Look out for a post later in the week giving you some ideas of things you could do during the Summer Holidays.
The West Lothian Sumdog contest begins today. I challenge you to pop onto Sumdog and try out some of the games – all you need to do to take part in the contest is play!
For today’s challenge, I would like you to draw a character or scene. To colour it in, you are only allowed to use three colours! Some of the children from P3B used to love doing a 3 colour challenge during soft start!
For today’s challenge, I would like you to find things in your house that are symmetrical. Remember, if you folded them in half, they would have to be the same on both sides to be symmetrical. Here are a few examples:
Sometimes called Fry’s words, the first 300 common words make up around half the words in every book, novel, magazine and newspaper. Being able to read common words opens up more reading possibilities and increases reading enjoyment. The words are given below in sets of 100.
Today, I would like you to create a quiz for someone in your family. The questions can be about anything you like – maybe you could have a mix of literacy, numeracy and general knowledge questions! Your checklist for success is:
1. It must have 10 questions.
2. You must have an answer sheet that you keep secret.
I’d love to see your finished quizzes to see if I know all the answers!
It’s our second last week of home learning before the summer holidays! Hasn’t the time flown in?
Starting on Friday (19th), there will be another West Lothian Sumdog contest that ends on Thursday 25th – all you need to do to be a part of it is play the games on Sumdog! Simpson Primary did an amazing job last time so we’d love to see that happen again!
Below are the home learning grid and supporting documents. As always, do what you can and choose the routine that works for you!
Today’s challenge is to research something you’re interested in – I chose to find out more about the Kelpies in Falkirk. Did you know that the Kelpie statues are 30 metres tall, and their names are Duke and Baron?
