How are you feeling today?

Today’s weather will be windy. I can hear it outside my window. Can you hear it too?

For PSD today it is time to think of things that make us happy. Try to think of 10 things that make you feel happy. Tell someone about them.

My 10 things are my family, my dog, sunshine, being in the garden, a nice hot cup of tea, having a shower, a nice piece of cake, Fridays!, seeing the moon and singing.

Check out Gerry’s posts for Movement ideas and remember to be helpful at home. Today what about helping to sort the washing?

For your Maths activities check out Steve’s posts in the Secondary Maths section.

For Fiddly Fingers can you make a rainbow from things you find in your house? I would love to see a photo of it if you can.

Remember to take a break and have a healthy snack. Then it is time to check out today’s story. Today it is going to be What a Mess. I love this book, I hope you will too. It will be on the Blog at 10.30.

In this book we meet What-a-Mess, a small Afghan hound. He does have a proper name but he has forgotten it because everyone who sees him always says ‘What a Mess!’

Then it will be time for Sign of the Day, thank you Lorna, and Music with Connie.

Have a nice lunch. Did you spot my April Fool yesterday – I didn’t really have ice cream for my lunch. That would be silly!

After lunch it is time for Sensory and Dance. Have a look in the sensory section for some activities and then check out Rachel’s latest moves in the dance section.

Have lovely days, I’ll be back soon.

Group 5 – Circle Time 1st April 2020

Silver – Tuesday 31st March

Good morning Silver class!

Let’s get Tuesday started..

Hello/Calendar/Movement

Have a look at my “circle time” post.

Choose a movement song from the “movement” section on the blog or just dance along to your favourite song with your family! 🙂

Life Skills

Lily’s mummy told me she has been busy helping mummy with the washing! Can you help sort the washing into different colours? Can you help your mummy or daddy put a washing in the machine?

Technology

Today’s challenge..

Maths (on yesterday’s timetable)

Let’s combine Maths with some exercise today!

Go out on a hunt for these pictures in people’s windows. Count how many you can see and write it in the boxes. You can colour it in before or after you go 🙂 Have fun!

If you can’t print these out then don’t worry – Just take a piece of paper and pen with you. You could also draw your own pictures before you go out.

Dance

There are some brilliant ideas on the “dance” section of the blog.

Or you can try some Go Noodle on YouTube today.

Story

Nicole has shared a video teaching us how to do Story massage. Have a go yourself at home. There’s 2 stories below to choose from (click to make bigger).

Sign of the Day

Don’t forget to follow along to Lorna’s sign of the day.. I wonder what it will be today?

Fiddly Fingers

See what you can try lifting with some washing pegs. If you don’t have pompoms you can use some cotton wool balls or some pebbles from outside.

Gardening

Have a look at the “gardening” section on the blog – Scott has posted some lovely ideas there.

Group 1 Good Morning 31-3-20

Personal hygiene

Good morning Group 1. How are you today? I can hear the birds singing this morning and I’ve just been watching a wood pigeon sitting on my fence so that has made me feel happy. I will feel even better if the sun starts to shine!

Have you looked at today’s date? It’s the last day of March so tomorrow will be????                           That’s right the 1st of April which is also April Fool’s Day. Look out for people playing tricks tomorrow!

We have been talking about personal hygiene in class. Today I’d like you to talk through the sheets (on the link Personal Hygiene above)  and see if you can remember all the things that are important to keep clean and smell nice. How many of them can you do on your own?

Enjoy your day!

Clare

The weather forecast is for cloudy weather where I live but at the moment it is too dark to see!

It is too dark to see the weather yet!

What is the weather like outside your window?

Today’s suggested timetable is: PSD, ICT, Dance and snack, story, sign of the day and fiddly fingers. Then lunch followed by Gardening and health and well-being.

During PSD time I am going to join in with Gerry’s movement session to try to ease up my sore knees and back. Why not join in too?

Check out the ICT page for today’s suggested tasks and then relax with Rachel and some of her dance moves.

The story choices today are …

In this story a sleep bear gets woken up by his friends. Find out why they are so keen for him to wake up and what he gets up to whilst they sleep.

or …

In this story Slinky Malinki (a cat) goes out to meet his friends. Find out what they get up to and where they all settle down at the end of the night.

At the moment Bear Stays Up has the most votes so if you would like to see Slinky Malinki you better let me know by replying to this post! I will post the most requested story after break.

For Fiddly Fingers can you build a teddy tower. I managed a tower of 5 teddies. Could you do better? Let me know how you got on or e-mail me a picture.

I hope you’ve had a good weekend and are ready for some learning. There are lots of exciting things and ideas on the blog. Have a look.

Today is Monday but what’s the date?

Have a look outside and see what the weather is for today.

How are you feeling? I’m happy as the weather is better but a little sad because I’m missing you all.

I hope you’re all remembering your household chores task.

look at the poster below and choose one to do today.

Today is our community time. You can’t visit the library but you could go outdoors. What will you see?

Can you find some writing?

Can you find a number bigger than 10

How many red cars can you see?

Can you hear birds?

How many dogs can you see?

I’ve put some photos of what I saw in my community on Sunday.

Can you take photos of what you see or write it down and share it here?

Look at the Maths area for maths work for later.

Enjoy your day.
