Science activities groups 3-11 Wednesday 1st April

Hi everyone,

I hope everyone is well and is having a good day. Here are your suggested Science activities for the day.

Group 3 – Please could you continue with activities listed on Science at home sheets that were included in your take home packs. Why not try the bodies activities and watch an episode or two of Operation Ouch.

Let me know what you found out.

Groups 4 and 5 – Go outside and try to find 5 different flowers. Take photos or draw them. Try to find out what they are by asking your family or looking online.

Watch this video clip of different Scottish plants to see if any of them are the same as the ones you found.

Let me know how you got on.

Groups 6 and 7 – Try this pet shadow matching activity and as you do say whether the animals are mammals / amphibians / birds / reptiles or fish

Then go outside and see what animals you can spot

If you found that easy, try to find out what the difference is between a vertebrate and an invertebrate and then try this power-point activity:

Then make a list of 5 more vertebrates and invertebrates.

If you want a challenge, try to find out what an exoskeleton is and what animals like Octopi have instead of a spine.

Let me know how you get on.

Group 8 – Please could you continue with activities listed on Science sheets included in your take home packs. Why not try the senses activities and then have a go at learning this senses song:

Groups 9 and 11 – Please carry on with your topic work. Remember we talked about this in school and I described the activity in last week’s Science post. I would really like to know how you are getting on so please reply to this post to tell me something you have found out. I can then share the information with the rest of the group.

Group 10 – Please could you continue with activities listed on Science sheets included in your take home packs. Why not try the forces activities and then have a go at learning this forces song:

I hope you enjoy the activities. Please keep in touch with how you are getting on.
