Primary 3

It has been a hectic week this week in Primary 3 with our trip to Stirling Castle sandwiched in between assembly rehearsals and organising World Book Day. The trip was a resounding success with compliments from several people about how well the pupils behaved and how insightful and interested they were in the topics. The staff at the Castle were so good and accommodating and gave us some great activities, including dressing up as ladies, lords and a very intimidating Sir Cole as a knight. We got a chance to see the Great Hall, the Kitchens and the Palace which were absolutely stunning and the pupils were blown away by the size and grandeur and they had fun looking for secret doors and passages (which we may have found but they swore not to tell anyone!). A huge thank also to our parent helpers without whom the trip couldn’t have gone ahead and the children loved having you on board, thank you!

In other news World Book Day was a resounding success with the pupils bringing in their own books to read throughout the day. They had 4 sessions of stop and read which they thoroughly enjoyed. We also had 5 Wallys hiding around the school which created quite a buzz and we have had most of the school hunting for them, very successfully.

We have also started work on our assembly and almost all the parts and lines have been handed out now. We would ask that pupils ensure they learn the lines they’ve been given as soon as possible as this will help immensely with the preparations for assembly and will ensure we have the best assembly possible.
