Primary 2 1.4.20

Good morning Primary 2,

Today is the 1st of April and it’s actually national uniform day! We would like you to wear your school uniform today and post your pictures of you doing your tasks today in uniform- you can up load these into Learning Journals.

We hope you are all well and had a productive and enjoyable day yesterday completing some of the activities we have been sending out. Are some you still managing to keep fit with Joe Wick’s at 9am? If you still have some energy to work off even after that we think some of you will really enjoy a dance class with Oti Mabuse on Youtube at 11.30 each morning this week.

The past few days have definitely felt like we are into Spring and in school this week we would have been doing some Easter/ Spring craft. Here are some ideas that you do not need a printer for:

egg box daffodil

paper plate easter bunny

If you do have access to a printer here are some fun activities also:

easter basket

easter cone animals

Before school closed we had begun learning about Easter in RME. We had discussed Palm Sunday and made own Palm branches. Watch this short video to learn about why Christian people celebrate Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

After listening to the story can you remember/find out why hot cross buns and rolling eggs are important at Easter time?

  1. Hi Saif

Lovely to hear from you! It sounds like you have been very busy and Joe Wick’s is a great way to start the day. Well done for wearing your uniform;-). We would love to see a photo of your decorated egg!

  2. Hi Mrs Oliver ! This is Saif and my day started with my PE with Joe for 30min and I put on my uniform and did my tasks (one from each ) and my favorite one was Snakes on the 🧠game , I completed my comprehension task too . I do a lot of reading every day . Today afternoon I’m planning on decorating an Easter egg.

Have a good day and stay safe !!! From Saif

  3. Morning Harris! Lovely to hear from you again πŸ™‚
I think that is a wonderful idea, to leave a rainbow and thank you letter on your bin. I think the men and ladies emptying the bins will be very grateful. So many people have such important jobs and need to keep working. I might even do the same because my bins get emptied tomorrow morning!
I am looking forward to seeing your family tree- you’ll need to post a picture in Learning Journals for me to see.
Have a good day Harris- the sun is shining πŸ™‚

  4. Morning Miss Rafferty. I had a good day yesterday. Got lots of my activities done. I found shape spinner on education city really really tricky, so I will need to keep practicing. I went for a long long walk yesterday afternoon and we counted loads of rainbows and saw a few bears too. I made my own rainbow for my room and while we did it, mummy and me were talking about all of the key people still working. I am going to write a thankyou letter with a rainbow, and stick it to the lid of our bucket, for the bin men to read tomorrow. I am going to tackle my family tree today too. Have a good day, love Harris x

  5. Primary 2, have you had any other April Fools happen today? πŸ™‚
Remember today would have been your Art lesson with Ms Fox. Can you draw a picture that represents spring? You might even see aspects of spring appearing in your garden. I have a lovely little tree in my garden that is full of blossom- it is so pretty.
Remember to leave a comment on the blog or post pictures/notes in Learning Journals.
