Primary 7 – 15/02/19

We knew that we had a talented bunch of pupils but we didn’t realise their talents stretched to directing and producing …the ideas from the pupils for developing their show are superb! Keep the creative juices flowing , we love to see some improvisation!

Quite a few of our pupils have been caught without their ID cards this week . Their ‘fines’ have ranged from press ups to cleaning paint pots. We carried out research on war time rationing this week. The pupils wrote their own typical weekly meals plan and then worked out what they would not be able to have if rationing was still enforced. Many were horrified ( and we don’t think that’s an exaggeration ) of the lack of variety and the limited fruit supplies . Of course sugar and chocolate in particular was discussed but we thought we would start with the fruit reaction!

We are calculating percentages of amounts in numeracy, if you are shopping and spot any discounts offering percentages off, please ask your child to calculate it for you.

We are delighted with the number of pupils who have shared their family history regarding WW2 , thank you to all the parents , grandparents and great grandparents who have helped bring our project to life . Your input is very much appreciated.

We hope everyone enjoys their long weekend !
