P2 have been busy this week !! We have been learning all about symmetry. We had a go at copying a picture and we had to make sure it was symmetical. We then looked at finding the line of symmetry in different shapes.

On Friday, we did a fun activity called symmetry pattern building. P2 worked in pairs and one person would start a pattern and their partner had to copy the pattern.

P2 have been busy today planting their super planter !!!

It is based on a mini garden!

This week the children loved reading our stories The Short-Sighted Giraffe and Giraffes Can’t Dance.  We loved making our own peg giraffes too!!!

This week we read The Very Hungry Caterpillar and made our own caterpillars to take home!

The nursery  children enjoyed a visit from Coach Natalie Football Buzz on Thursday to develop their football skills.

P2 have been learning about how to make different amounts of money !!

We were getting very quick at making the correct amounts !!

P2 have been thinking about how they can help others as part of our ‘Wants and Needs’ topic. We thought that we could help by collecting food for a local food bank.

The children have been busy making posters to advertise our event and we are going to visiting the classes to tell everybody what they could bring in.

We are going to be collecting food for the next two weeks until Friday the  8th of May.

We have finally finished our lorrys !!!

They look great.  We painted them this week and then added the wheels.

Miss Rodford thinks they look super.
