The nursery were delighted to see Santa today at their Christmas Party. Everyone had great fun!

Nativity Stars!
Well done to all of the nursery children who participated in the nativities today. You were all stars.
Furry Friends!
Today Yazmine’s Dad brought four of their puppies in to see us. They are only six weeks old and felt very soft.
We talked about the different things the puppies did and washed our hands carefully when they went away. We would all like to say thank you to Yazmine’s dad again for taking the time to bring them in for us to see.
A Friend for Rudolph!
We had a new friend join us in the nursery today. Frosty the Snowman arrived this morning and is now keeping Rudolph company. Another huge thank you to Carli’s Papa who has been busy again making this for us.
It was a fabulous surprise!
Shopping for Santa!
The nursery went for a walk to The Centre to buy a present for Santa. We saw lots of different decorations and stopped at the big Christmas tree to have our photo taken.
We were so proud of all of the children as lots of people stopped us to comment on how well behaved they were.
Christmas Comes Early!
Yesterday in the nursery we were delighted to be given our very own Rudolph!
He was made for us by Carli’s Papa and everyone in the nursery would like to say a great big thank you to him. Rudolph is already one of our favourite decorations and has impressed all of our visitors too!
Nursery St Andrew’s Day Celebrations
Today we were celebrating St Andrew’s Day. We tried some Scottish dancing.
We wore tartan to nursery and went round the school to show it off and wave our Saltire flags that we made.
We also made tartan using cars and tried a bit of shortbread at snack time.
What a busy day!
Autumn Helpers Again!!
When our autumn helpers went back to the woods to see if the squirrels had found the nuts they were only able to find some of the shells left!
As this had worked so well the rest of us went out to hide more nuts in the woods yesterday. 
We found lots of good places to put them.
Although we are not sure how many of the squirrels will find them as the ducks and swans were looking for them before we even left!
French in the Nursery- Camembear et les couleurs
Girls and boys in the nursery have been having fun and learning French with a new friend- Camembear. Camembear is a very friendly bear who is sometimes mischievous! He can only speak in French so the girls and boys are learning how to speak to him in his own language. They can say “bonjour” and “au revoir” . Camembear had fun with this as every time they said “au revoir”, he went flying off the flag into the air!
We have been learning how to say the different colours. Everyone is very good at recognising bleu (blue), blanc (white) and rouge(red) and can pick out these colours when asked. These colours are everywhere!
This week we have been working at learning the colour rose (pink). It was great fun dancing and playing our corners game to work at practising our colours.
We have also been learning how to say how we are feeling. You can see more on our French display in the Nursery.
Autumn Helpers
Last week in the nursery some of us went to hide nuts in the woods for the squirrels. We didn’t want to make it too easy for them so we put them in lots of different hidings places.
We are looking forward to going back this week to see if they have found them. We think they will all be gone as we did notice a squirrel watching us!
