Good morning primary 2,
I hope you all had a lovely weekend with your families. Would you believe we are now in the last few days of primary 2?! It has been a very eventful year and it will be one for the history books for sure. I hope the time you spent in school in primary 2 was lots of fun, I certainly had a fabulous time teaching you all this year.
Summer holidays officially start on Wednesday 24th June at 1pm, so not long to go now at all. For our last couple of days take a moment to think of something you are proud of achieving this year. Since we have reached the end of primary 2, I thought it would be fun for you to try planning your own Summer party! I have attached an activity grid below for some ideas of what you will need to prepare.
Remember your party hat, let’s see this year out with a cheer!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend with your families and managed to get outside for a while yesterday to enjoy the unexpected sunshine (hopefully more of that to come this week). Would you believe this is your last full week of being in primary 2! Remember I would love to hear about anything you have been getting up to, you can leave a comment below.

As we approach the last couple of weeks left of primary 2, I can’t believe we will soon be arriving at the summer holidays. I know this year is not at all like any other you will have had, and it is the same for all the adults too! As we approach summer it would be great to hear the things you have enjoyed about primary 2, something you might be proud of, a special memory … anything! You can email these or comment below 🌈

It has been so lovely to hear from a few more of you this past week, keep the fabulous photos coming! A big pat on the back to anyone who has managed a few learning activities this week. I have loved seeing your efforts, remember you can leave a comment here to say hello and any work or activities you want to show me can be sent to the email above.
Now we are into the second week of June, and only a few weeks of online learning remains. I know this countdown to the summer holidays might be a bit strange since you have been at home for a while now, so let’s try make it an active and fun few weeks!
This week I have put together a summer themed activity grid. See how many of the challenges you can complete! As an extra challenge for this week, I am setting a class competition! This will be themed as what our topic would have been if we were still at school – minibeasts 🐞🐛🐜

Week Beginning: Monday 1st June 2020
Good morning primary 2,
My goodness isn’t time flying by! Today marks the start of a new month, June has arrived. Can you believe we are almost half-way through 2020?! Our time is whizzing by, and in no time, you will be starting your journey as big primary 3s! It is so important that you try and do a couple of these activities each week, as these will help keep your brains sharp for next year.
Hopefully we get some more beautiful sunshine this week, it certainly makes a big difference to our moods getting some fresh air and heat around our bodies. If you have an outdoor space, why not try some activities outdoors? I’d love to see your pictures, ask an adult to send them to the email address above 😊
Please do email me with any work you have completed, and I will reply here on the blog (and send an email notification). I would love to see anything you have been getting up to, so please get in touch. I am online every morning between 9-10am and again at 2-3pm.

Week Beginning: Tuesday 26th May 2020
Good morning primary 2, 
I hope you have had a lovely holiday weekend and managed to get some time outdoors to enjoy the brief sunshine.
Today I want to welcome a new member to the primary 2 team, Ibrahim. Usually we would be giving a lovely warm welcome in our classroom, but I know you will join me in welcoming Ibrahim from afar for now!
We begin our online learning journey this week, how exciting! I have put together some maths and literacy activities for you to try. You can pick one maths activity and one literacy activity to complete each day, or whenever you can. Please use the word walls, phoneme walls and maths resources I put together for you in your previous pack.
Please send me any questions you may have, or share how you are getting on with the activities. I know that it can be hard to work at home, I am adjusting to this too! Remember to try your best and have a go 😊

Hello Primary 2!
I hope you and your families are safe and well. I know this time might feel strange, but I hope you are all managing to keep busy and positive when you can. I have been missing all our fun times we have together in the classroom, especially our stories. I can’t wait to hear from you and see what you have all been up to.
From next week I will be uploading some tasks for you to try, it would be great if you could have a go at some of them. I know it can feel hard to work at home, but I’m sure if you give a couple of things a try, you’ll enjoy them! You can ask me any questions you might have about them on here, and I will help you as much as I can.
It would be lovely to hear from you all, you can get in touch with me by commenting below. Let me know how you are getting on, and if you’ve tried anything new whilst staying at home.
