We have been learning about patterns and sequences in numeracy. Today we had a Christmas patterns session – we had to continue the patterns as accurately as possible. We also used repeating patterns to create snowflakes!

Digital Leaders!
We have three new Digital Leaders in P4. They had to fill out an application form, and get interviewed for the position by Mrs Ward. It is a big responsibility that Aimee, Daniel and Rachael are excited to try their best at! Well done and work hard 🙂
Electricity
What we know already:
Wind turbines, sun makes satellite dishes charge which makes electricity, need wires to make electricity work, magnet and cable makes electricity, electricity cables conduct electricity – don’t carry it, circuit pieces have special codes,
Charge your phone, batteries, chargers
TV, ipad, lights, computer, Xbox, Wii, machines, light bulb, electric cars, smartboard, plays station, switch to turn on things, phone
Open blinds for light instead of wasting electricity
Block 2 already!
We have had a lovely week back in class. Primary 4 have been talking about what we are going to be learning this block. Comment below with what YOU would like to achieve/learn this block 🙂
The BFG…and other characters!
We have been really enjoying getting to know the characters in our class novel, the BFG. From the BFG and Sophie to horrible giants the Bloodbottler and Fleshlumpeater giants Roald Dahl is fantastic at using descriptive language like adjectives or his own made up ‘gobblefunk’ words to paint a picture of them in our heads.
We all have our own favourite literary characters from stories we have read – Mrs Wallace loves Mathilda from Roald Dahl’s book Mathilda as she is brave, clever and faces lots of horrible things to get to her happy ending at the end!
Comment below with your favourite character – who they are and why you love them!
Roald Dahl Day
Primary 4 have been talking about some of the Roald Dahl books we have read, as today it is Roald Dahl day! We are really enjoying reading the BFG for our novel study this block. It is truly a fantabadoozie of a book!
Friendships!
We are thinking a lot about friendships, and what makes a good friend. Leave a comment below telling us about what you think the most important qualities of a good friend are!
