Sunflowers

This week we have planted sunflower seeds to take home and nurture.

Make sure you find a good place to keep your pot and remember to water it regularly.  Once the sunflower is a couple of centimetres high, move it to a bigger pot or plant it out in your garden.  Feel free to bring in any pictures of your plant and let us know how tall it is getting.

On Monday the 26th June, bring in a photo of your sunflower and tell us how tall it has grown!

Art inspired by Mexican crafts

We had fun making our Mexican crafts. We used paper plates to make the base. To make the patterns for our mirrors  we had to draw the pattern in pencil first then colour it in with oil pastels but we had to make sure not to leave any white showing. After we had finished colouring our plates we stuck silver paper in the middle of our plate to make the mirror. To make it look fancy we stuck sequins on our mirrors then we had finished our mirrors.

Mrs. Finnie has asked us to find pictures of Mexican crafts like this to inspire us in our art next week. What patterns have you found in the crafts?
