P3B Health Display
Look at our amazing crayons. Every colour is unique, just like us.
We have been learning about our strengths and sharing our talents and the things we enjoy.
We read the story of Invisible Sam and have thought of ways we can talk to ourselves to help us to feel good about ourselves e.g. everyone makes mistakes, I will try harder next time.
Tonight we have taken home a home activity to share our thoughts on what makes us unique with our adults. We are looking forward to seeing the positive things our adults say about us too.
P3B Sustainability Squad Pledge
Our Sustainability Squad asked every class to make a pledge after their Sustainability assembly.
P3B pledged to tell their adults about how long it takes for plastic to rot away and to encourage their adults to recycle plastic.
Each pupil has made a leaflet to take home to explain more about this. Our leaflets will be in our school bags today.
Four leaflets were chosen to give to the Sustainability Squad; Well done Ada, Hope, Willow and Dylan
Bones Bones Bones
Last week P3A and P3B had a visitor come in to talk to us about bones. We held a 3D print of a whale’s ear bone and looked at a tiny skeleton of a mouse in a test tube. We had lots of questions to ask because we love bones. Some of us want to be scientists when we grow up!

P3B have been asking for homework. They are so keen to learn.
They love trying to beat the computer by placing their digit in a place to get the biggest HTU number.
Have fun learning!
Scientist checking the reliability of our senses
P3 have been finding out about our senses and asking the question; How reliable are our senses?
We looked at optical illusions and watched a clip where our sense of sight was tricked when we were focusing on counting the basket ball passes.
We listened to musical instruments with our eyes closed. Could we tell what instrument it was? Could we hear where the sound was coming from when the instrument stopped playing?
Today we used our sense of smell to identify smells. Was it easier to tell what the smell was with eyes open or closed?
Skeleton Art
We have been learning about the human body. Ask us to name some bones and show you where they are.
Fun Maths game to practise speedy mental maths
Egyptian Afternoon
P3a enjoyed an Egyptian afternoon at the end of block 1. We did 4 different activities – painted our canopic jars, glued shiny paper onto our Pharoah masks, tasted pomegranates, figs & dates and made Lego pyramids. It was great fun and a lovely way to finish our amazing Egyptians topic!
Sponsored Walk
We had a lovely Sponsored Walk across Fotheringham Bridge, up past Harbro and into the woods. We worked in small teams to collect items for our egg boxes. It was great fun and gave us lots of exercise!
