It has been a very busy week in Room 1 and we have been working hard counting within 10 and writing numbers to 8. We have also been making and writing words with the sounds we have learned as well as recognising some common words in texts. We are taking plenty of brain breaks to keep our bodies and minds active and we are having fun working on our fine motor skills. We hope you enjoy our video.

The children in room 2 have been practicing their drawing skills. Today they drew “Joy” from the film “Inside out” which is the theme of our topic! They have done so well!

The boys and girls in room 2 worked hard to make a number line from 0-23 in total silence! They worked as a team to make sure everyone found their correct position in the number line before calling out their numbers in order.

We are all settled and working hard in Room 1 and it has been amazing to watch how quickly the children have adapted to their new routines. That in itself has been a great achievement and everyone has been very brave as they become accustomed to the long days away from home but we are also so proud of how much we have learned in just a few weeks.
