Pupil Voice
We believe strongly in, and listen to, ‘pupil voice’. We have a number of pupil committees, or action groups, with representatives from P1-7 where children give their opinions and take on leadership roles to support the work of the school. These are supported by various members of staff throughout the school. The pupil voice groups that we have are:
TIE (Time for Inclusive Education) – Miss Neilson
Eco Warriors – Mrs Stewart
Fairtrade Champions – Miss Dundas and Miss Docherty
Rights – Mrs McGroarty
GIRFEC – Mrs McGroarty + Mrs McLaughlan
Play Champions – Mrs Heron
Anti-Racism – Mrs O’Hagan
Meta Skills – Mrs McGroarty
Digital Champions – Mr Coyle
Respect Me: Anti-bullying group – Mrs Jackson
Outdoor learning – Mrs McVittie
JRSO – Mr Sorrell
Reading – Mrs Dyer
Fundaising – TBC
Young Leaders of Learning – TBC
The Head Teacher also meets with different groups of pupils from across the school at ‘Tuesday Talk’ where children are asked for feedback on a range of issues. These opinions are fed into the school improvement plans.
