Class Newsletter Term 3 Welcome to Primary 6Bs class newsletter! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year. Have a read below to see what exciting things are going on! Other Curricular Areas This term our topic will be based around Japan and will be linked to our class Novel of Kensuke’s Kingdom. The pupils will lead this topic by coming up with questions that they want to answer over the term and we will gather these in our floor book to provide learning experiences. We are also beginning our journey in Inquiry based learning and the pupil’s are beginning to take more ownership of their learning and will develop their ability to discuss their learning goals and ways which they can achieve their goals. So far the pupils have enjoyed our Enquiry based approach and have been able to link these to our meta skills and discuss what skills they have been developing. How can you help at home Chat with your child and get them to tell you all about what they have been learning. Please continue to encourage practising multiplication facts and supporting with division – this makes a huge difference to their learning. Also Top marks and Maths Frame have lots of educational games if you have access to a laptop or tablet. Our home learning grid will be given out on Monday. There are spelling, reading, talking/writing, maths and other activities available on this grid to help the children get used to completing homework tasks before beginning high school. Bug Club books are also issued with homework the homework packs. Our Stay and Play for this term will take place on the 2nd April from 2 – 2.45pm. We would be delighted if you could come along.
