Health and Wellbeing Education is an important part of the work of Newark Primary School. It is concerned with all aspects of mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing now and in the future.

Health and Well Being is subdivided into the following areas which are taught throughout all classes:

➢ Mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing

➢ Planning for choices and changes

➢ Physical education, physical activity and sport

➢ Food and Health

➢ Substance misuse

➢ Relationships, sexual health and parenthood.

we ensure that all children are given 2 hours of high quality physical activity per week.
We encourage healthy choices and children learn all about nutrition and enjoy making their own healthy snacks.
Children are given opportunities to develop their learning outdoors. This is known as ‘Outdoor Learning’.
