Happy New Year! I hope that you all had a lovely break. Our PE days are still a Tuesday and a Thursday. Miss Doyle will take the class on a Monday afternoon for some drama lessons, she will also continue to have the class on a Friday as well.

Stay and play – Thank you so much to everyone who has already attended a stay and play session, we love welcoming you into our classroom. Our next stay and play date is Friday 11th March.

Class assembly – We would love to welcome you to our class assembly on Friday 14th February where we will be sharing some of our learning.

How you can help at home…

It is important to practise the new sounds we learn in school. We will send home a new homework grid with fun activities that you can try at home, this can stay at home and does not need to be handed in to school. Counting forwards and backwards will help us and it is really helpful if we can start and stop at different numbers. One of the best things you can do to support your child is to read to them daily.

Please make sure you write your child’s name on all their belongings so they can be returned to the correct owner. We acquired a rather large “lost and found” last term and this makes the process of returning items much easier.
