Welcome to Primary 1a with Mrs Heron!
Term 3 Newsletter – December Hello again! The children have settled in really well after the Christmas holidays. It has been wonderful start to the term with lots of discussion on the season of Winter. Our P.E. is on a Monday and a Thursday. Please ensure that your child is in relaxed uniform coming to school and is not wearing any jewellery. As per Inverclyde Council Policy, we are unable to remove earrings. It was lovely to have some adults come to join us for our Christmas Stay and Play. We will have our next Stay and Play on Friday 14th February at 2pm. Please note that we only have space for 1 adult per child. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Primary 1a’s class assembly is on Friday 14th March at 9.15am, we look forward to seeing you then. How you can help at home It is important to practise the sounds and common words when they are sent home. A new homework grid for this term will be given out. This term, children will be allocated reading books and sound games online through Bugclub online. Information on how to access this will be sent out with the homework pack. Homework packs can remain at home to allow the children to complete tasks at a time of your choosing throughout the block. The best thing you can do to support your child in Primary 1 is to read to them daily and practice their Bugclub books with them. We will read the physical copies of the books in class.
