Newton Farm Primary School and Nursery Class

Bonjour Parents! Look What We Did in Room 6!

This week, we have been super busy learning our colours in French! It was so much fun and we can’t wait to tell you all about it.

🔎 Our Great French Colour Hunt!

Our classroom turned into a big French puzzle! Our teacher put up signs with French colour words written on them all around the room.

We had to become French detectives! We worked in pairs to find objects in our classroom and match them to the correct French sign:

  • We matched a red brick to rouge!

  • We put a blue crayon beside bleu!

  • We found a yellow book for jaune!

  • We matched a green toy to vert!

We also matched things with marron (brown), noir (black), and violet (purple)!

🗣️ What We Liked Best

We loved hunting around the room and trying to say the words in our best French voices. Some of the words sound very fancy!

We were really good at working together, helping our friends if they got stuck, and checking that our objects matched the right signs.
