This week in Room 5 we have been learning lots of new things. We had the Chromebooks on Monday and we explored how to type on a google doc, practicing our spelling of our phonemes for this week which were ‘oy’ for toy, and ‘ai’ for rain. The IPads were also out to get us used to navigating mathletics for some maths tasks, and bug club for reading. This week we focused on Subtraction for numeracy, and learned how to take smaller numbers away from 10, next week we will extend this to 20 and beyond for a challenge. In P.E with Miss Livingstone we are focusing on our balance skills, and navigating different challenges so we used the trim trail to help us practice balancing on different objects. Mrs Sheed took us for outdoor P.E and we learned different skills on the pitch. She also taught us about being kind to animals as part of our RME focus.
