🦺 Be Bright Day and Wow Challenge Update

The WOW ambassadors would like to say a huge well done to all 443 pupils who earned a badge at the end of October. We are so happy that so many of the pupils at the school are able to make active/more sustainable journeys to school and we love being able to hand out the badges. We’d love to hand out even more badges at the end of November and December and hope that families will continue to travel actively into the darker months, by wrapping up warm in waterproof clothing and dressing brightly.

From your WOW Ambassadors:

Pippa, Melissa M, Melissa B, George, Robbie, Mariyah, Eva, Gemma, Emily & Maya

Speaking of dressing brightly, we will be holding our annual Be Bright Day on Friday 24th November. This is to raise awareness for staying ‘safe and seen’ now that the mornings, nights (and afternoons!) are getting darker. We will be talking to all pupils about staying safe and seen on their journeys to/from school at their assemblies during Road Safety Week (20-24th November).

For our Be Bright Day, pupils should wear the brightest clothes that they have and this can include reflective items. The clothes don’t even need to match! The wackier & brighter the better as we are holding a competition for the best and brightest dressed pupils from each class. The winners will win some ‘Be Bright’ goodies and a certificate.

We can’t wait to see you all ‘wearing it bright!’

Azaan & Eilidh (Junior Road Safety Officers)
