Our Week in Room 16 27.10.23

Our first week back for Term 2! We can’t believe how quickly this year is running by.

Some of our highlights this week in Room 16 have been introducing rugby in our PE time, which we have been focusing on working as a team by learning how to move as one in a formation.

We have been continuing to incorporate our 1960s topic by looking at the French translations of our favourite clothing items from the 60s such as scarves, boots, and mini-dresses! We have also been visited by our local chaplaincy team who have given us an in-depth retelling of what school life was like in the 60s.

We have enjoyed our school disco which featured ghouls, goblins, ghosts, and many more! We have also explored how we can incorporate 60s pop art into a class sized VW camper van filled with the children’s designs.

We have progressed in our knowledge of money during maths time and are loving our new class bank system as it has helped us understand the concept of addition and subtraction in money terms.

Furthermore, we have focused on how to produce an effective story recount by retelling our highlights from the October break!
