Glasgow CREATE is thrilled to launch “It’s Our Home, Glasgow”, a special citywide project celebrating Glasgow’s 850th anniversary. We are inviting every primary school in the city to take part in this ambitious musical initiative, bringing pupils together in a shared celebration of our history, culture, and community spirit.
This unique project features a specially written song with verses in English, Scots, and Gaelic, ensuring inclusivity and representation of Glasgow’s diverse linguistic heritage. Schools will have access to teaching videos, lyric sheets, backing tracks, and a Makaton signing video, making participation easy and accessible for all learners.
Each school will have the chance to film their pupils performing the song, contributing to a citywide montage that will premiere as part of the Glasgow 850 celebrations. This is a fantastic opportunity for pupils to showcase their talent and be part of Glasgow’s living history.
