Choirs

Our choirs give children and young people the chance to sing together, develop vocal confidence and enjoy performing as part of a group.

Junior Choir is now full. Enrolment has reached our capacity of 150 singers, so we are no longer accepting new applications for the Junior Choir. Enrolment for the Senior Choir and Chamber Choir is still open.

Who it’s for

The choir pathway includes:

• Junior Choir for young people in P4–7 (now full; closed to new applications)
• Senior Choir for young people in S1 and above
• Chamber Choir for young people who are successful at the audition

What happens

Pupils rehearse as part of a choir, developing vocal technique, musical confidence and ensemble singing skills. Through regular rehearsals, they prepare for performances and concerts and enjoy singing with others from across the city.

Venue: City Halls, 87 to 101 Albion Street, Glasgow, G1 1LH.

Junior Choir
11:00–12:30 on Saturdays: 14/11, 21/11, 28/11, 05/12
This choir is now full. If you have already enrolled, your place is confirmed and nothing changes.

Senior Choir
5.00 to 6.00pm Thursdays. Please see the calendar for dates.

Chamber Choir
6.00 to 7.00pm Thursdays. Please see the calendar for dates.

How progression works

The choir pathway supports singers at different stages. Chamber Choir is the auditioned next step for young people who are ready for a more advanced vocal ensemble.
