Flute Choir

Flute Choir gives young flautists the chance to rehearse together, improve technique and explore music written for multiple flutes.

Who it’s for

Flute Choir is aimed at flautists working at Grade 3 and above, by teacher recommendation only.

What happens

At the weekly flute choir, pupils can improve breathing, tone and technique, play repertoire for multiple flutes and try larger members of the flute family.

Venue: City Halls, 87 to 101 Albion Street, Glasgow, G1 1LH.

How progression works

As young people develop their musical and ensemble skills, they may also join the Concert Band, then the Symphonic Wind Band, and ultimately the Glasgow Schools’ Symphony Orchestra. Tutors and conductors will support this process when pupils are ready for the next step.
