Types of Support

The support that services provide can be thought of as Universal (available to all), Targeted (accessed by some) and Intensive (accessed by few). Universal support is provided by a universal service such as Education or Health.  These are services which are available to all who engage with them.  These services can also provide some Targeted support or facilitate access to a targeted service.  In a minority of cases, children and young people will require Intensive support from specialist children’s services.
