I’m Worried About a Friend

You might be one of the first to know if your friends are having eating problems.  It can be very difficult to raise the issue and you might worry you will say the wrong thing, offend, upset them or make things worse. However, talking about the issue is often the first step to recovery and in the long term, your friend will be grateful that you care and that you had the courage to discuss it.

This video could help you navigate this and a full guide on Eating Problems and Disorders can be found here: Eating Disorders Guide – Children and Young People (September 2021).

There are links to a number of other resources here which you may also find helpful and there are some conversation starters in the full guide which you may find useful.
