The Snowdrops were all confident individuals helping to lead assembly and tell everyone a story about the Lion and the Mouse. All the Snowdrops contributed very well and held up photos of ways we can help or be good friends in our class.

Last week in Home Economics we made Roasted Fox…sweet potato wedges!! And also triangle biscuits decorated like Foxes…FANTASTIC!!!
Changing Seasons
The Stars Class have noticed the trees are changing in the garden. We collected different coloured leaves and made colourful autumn prints with them. We had fun exploring a Nanny McPhee story bag and handling the props.
The Royal Bank of Transition
The Transition boys had money on their minds this week. They were Successful Learners as they improved their money identification skills ready for a treasure hunt. Storm Ali had other ideas though, so the treasure hunt was moved indoors.
The Calm Before the Storm
The Transition boys managed to brave going outside before Storm Ali arrived to do some literacy work. The were all Successful Learners when asked to find objects around our Sensory Garden and spell out what they had found using their magnetic boards.
Master chefs in the making!
The transition boys were all Effective Contributors in cooking today. We ppicked Courgettes that had been grown in the school garden and used them to make a lovely pasta dish. The boys had also decided they would like to make nachos to go with this. Unfortunately we didn’t manage to get a final photo of the dish we made as it was gone within seconds.
Every morning in the Transition Class, we all watch Newsround to keep ourselves up to date with what’s happening around the world. The boys were Confident Individuals when picking a piece of news and creating a newspaper article about it. Topics included Frank the Ape’s 10th Birthday, the new Johnny English film and a new space-craft that will be going to space once its designed and built.
Sensory bottles and making a house
This week we made our own sensory bottles for our morning group. We chose six – sunny, cloudy, windy, rainy, snowy and a rainbow. We enjoyed ripping and tearing materials to put inside our bottles and then filled then with water. We have been enjoying using them at our morning group with our days of the week boxes.
Today we using images of different doors and windows to create our own 2D house and used “shreddies” and icing sugar as the cement to build our own house.
The Bluebells have been enjoying listening to the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The children were successful learners as they carried out their own porridge experiment. They made up 3 different kinds of porridge by adding a variety of ingredients and then tasted them to discover what ingredients made the porridge yummy.
